CONTEST MECHANICS

THE SUBMISSION

  1. The competition is open to members of photography clubs invited to participate in the project. Entries may be submitted via the official JTI SinagLarawan website https://jtisinaglarawan.com/

    Should a photographer have no affiliation with any photography club, he / she may seek a recommendation letter
    from an officer of an invited photography club and submit this document together with their digital photo entry.

  2. Submissions will be accepted from July 1,  2024 to August 31, 2024. Submissions made after the deadline will not be accepted. However, JTI reserves the right to shorten or extend the submission period. Any changes will be announced promptly through the website and other available platforms.

  3. Participants must certify that they are eighteen (18) years old and above at the date of entry submission. JTI will automatically and without further notice discard any entries found to be submitted by a participant below eighteen (18) years old at the time of submission.

  4. JTI employees and its partner agencies, including their relatives up to the second degree of affinity and consanguinity, are not eligible to join the competition. 

THE photos

  1.  Each participant submits one (1) digital photo entry only. The submitted photo must include a title, a brief description (in English) of how the entry captures the theme, and the locale where it was taken. The competition is free and does not involve any fees for the participants.
  2. Submitted entries cannot be retracted or replaced.
  3. Submitted digital images must be in JPEG or JPG format, from 1MB to 5MB file size with up to 4000 pixels and 300 dpi quality. Participants must have higher resolution copies that will be required in case they get selected as Finalists. The higher-resolution files will be used for the awarding event, online and physical exhibits, video materials, corporate calendar, and photobook that will be produced after the competition. 

  4. Photos may either be colored or in black and white.

  5. The primary medium is digital photography using any camera including phone cameras.

  6. Only photographs taken from January 2022 to August 2024 can qualify.

  7. Submitted photo(s) MUST NOT CONTAIN any tag(s), signature(s), initial(s), frame, border(s), logo(s) even as foreground or background, or any other references and/or marks added by the participant. Basic technical editing of the photo(s) is acceptable, provided any such editing does not affect the authenticity and/or genuineness of the photo(s). Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions, and/or manipulations; including compositing and creative retouching of the photo(s) IS PROHIBITED. JTI reserves the right to assess and discard from the competition any submitted photo(s) deemed, at JTI’s discretion, contrary to the foregoing. JTI will request the RAW files from photographers who will be shortlisted in the contest to verify the authenticity of their submitted images.

  8. Photos that portray individuals/groups must have been created ethically. The captured subjects should have given their consent to the photographer and that no physical and/or psychological harm was done in taking the photo. Any direct influence over the scene, such as reenactments or posed portraits, must be included in the photographer’s brief description.

  9. Photos(s) that portray or otherwise include inappropriate and/or offensive content, including nudity, violence, and/or any other content deemed to be contrary to the company values and code of conduct ARE PROHIBITED from entering the competition.

  10. Photos with children or any minor as subject(s) are also NOT ALLOWED to be entered in the competition.

  11. Photo(s) that have won any previous award(s) or in any other competition(s) whatsoever, and/or photo(s) that have been previously used, or are intended to be used, for any kind of commercial purposes, must not be submitted. Photo(s) submitted contrary to the foregoing will be automatically and without further notice disqualified from the entire Competition.

Trophy + P120,000, with P25,000 cash and Certificate to winner’s club

Trophy + P100,000, with P20,000 cash and Certificate to winner’s club
